Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary

Cedar Island Marsh The Crisfield Heritage Foundation's latest acquisition is The Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary.  Located across the street from the south side of Somers Cove marina, this 330 acre marsh is home to terrapins, hawks waterfowl, all types of aquatic creatures, and very important plant life.
Jenkins Creek Shanty Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary borders Jenkins Creek, where you can see work boats, crab shanties and the watermen who made Crisfield the crab capital of the world.
Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary The Museum plans to offer several programs, teaching the marsh ecosystem and introducing the art of nature photograph.
