Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary
|
 |
The Crisfield Heritage
Foundation's latest acquisition is The Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary. Located across the
street from the south side of Somers Cove marina, this 330
acre marsh is home to terrapins, hawks waterfowl, all types
of aquatic creatures, and very important plant life. |
 |
Cedar Island Marsh Sanctuary
borders Jenkins Creek, where you can see work boats, crab
shanties and the watermen who made Crisfield the crab
capital of the world. |
 |
The Museum plans to offer several
programs, teaching the marsh ecosystem and introducing the
art of nature photograph. |
