Thank you! Your loyalty to Crisfield Heritage Foundation is the core for which our organization stands. We continue our commitment to promote our unique heritage to the community and its visitors. It is vital that we preserve our rich history.

The efforts of Crisfield Heritage Foundation can be seen throughout our region. Some of our many exciting projects in the works for 2012 include:

*Cedar Island Marsh Project — Partnering with Crisfield High Environmental Science students whereby the students are conducting an environmental inventory. This will allow us to enhance wildlife habitat for the current dwellers and entice additional native species by providing an eco-friendly environment. A hiking trail with an observation deck is in the early stages of development.

*War of 1812 — Working with the State and County committees to include our region in the bicentennial celebration. Events are scheduled for 2012-2014. We are strategizing ways to capitalize on the nearby passing of the historic flotilla that will depart Norfolk in June 2012 and end its journey at the Inner Harbor.

*A Night At The Museum — A spring event open to members in which we can showcase new exhibits and highlight resources we have available to promote our distinctive culture.

There are new exciting benefits to your membership for 2012! Many local businesses have joined us to offer special pricing on their products and services. Smith Island Cruises, Tangier Island Cruises, King’s Restaurant, Lynn’s, and The Pizza Shop are on board so far. While The Ward Museum and Barrier Island Center are offering free access with your 2012 Crisfield Heritage Foundation membership. These new benefits are in addition to benefits we have always provided, such as free museum admission, gift shop discounts, special pricing on specified programs and classes, and reduced rental rates for both the Tawes Library and the Chesapeake Room.

Come see us for a museum tour. While you are here, be sure to save time to visit the gift shop.

Crisfield Heritage Foundation is always seeking fresh ideas and would like for you to partake in our many services and activities. Numerous opportunities to volunteer are available, rather it be in our gift shop or a larger outreach project, we welcome your service.

Please renew your membership today.
Sincerely,

Terry Pehan, Chairman, Board of Trustees & Christine C. Tyler Executive Director
